I don't know! I love fixing up houses and creating gardens. On the other hand, a house is a big committment. It will tie me to the town I am in now. And, are we at the bottom of the market? How would we know? I need to think seriously about this. Any advice on what I should be considering?
We're looking at two houses tomorrow and Bear is super excited about one of them. The location is exactly where we want to be. We'll see how it goes. I'll report back.

I don't know how to buy a house, so I don't have any tips for you there. But my plan, when we get to buying our own house maybe next year, is not to look at it as an investment -- because then the focus is all cheapest price, highest resale value. Instead, it's a purchase of a home, not just a house. A very emotional kinda thing. But having never bought a house before, that may be really bad advice!
This blog post offers some seemingly pretty good advice though: http://offbeathome.com/2011/06/house-buying-inform-your-gut-instinct
Thanks so much Theresa!
